Feed is now available for pre-order on the iTunes store!

Click here (or scroll to bottom for typed link) to pre-order Troian’s new feature film Feed, which will be available on July 18. Troian not only stars in it, but she is also the screenwriter and a producer of the film, which is a version of her own experiences with an eating disorder.

Feed tells the story of Olivia (Troian Bellisario) and Matthew Grey (Tom Felton), 18 year-old twins born into a world of privilege and high expectations. As the twins prepare for their last school year together, an unexpected tragedy splits them apart, leaving the surviving one to learn how to live without their other half – or test how far they are willing to go to bring them back.

“I thought, ‘If I can tell a story that puts the audience in a position to make a similar choice to the one that I made in my young life, maybe I could get them to empathize.'”

– Troian Bellisario for Interview Magazine

The long wait for casting news relating to Troian is officially over– it has just been announced that Troian Bellisario is set to star in a new sci-fi drama feature film entitled Clara along with her husband Patrick J. Adams. Filming has already begun production in Toronto.

Clara tells the story of Issac Bruno (Adams), an astronomer obsessed with searching the cosmos for signs of life beyond Earth, despite the collapse of his own personal life around him. Isaac takes on an unqualified but spirited young research assistant named Clara (Bellisario) who restores balance and perspective in the midst of his downward spiral. Working together as a team, their research ultimately leads Isaac to a shocking and profound scientific discovery. (Source: Deadline)

Wishing luck and success to Troian and Patrick as they take on what seems to be an amazing film; we know they will be wonderful!

Shakespearean plays have been reimagined and retold to reflect the most important social issues of the time for centuries. Troian Bellisario’s upcoming short film, Still A Rose, is following in that tradition. Troian is starring in a modern-day cinematic adaptation of Romeo & Juliet that expands the diversity of the story across two spectrums: race and sexual orientation.

This film is self-described on its Facebook page as such: “Employing Shakespeare and Cinema, two great artistic languages come together to re-introduce a timeless tale of young love and tragedy to a brand new audience. Refocusing literature’s most iconic young lovers, ’Still A Rose’ weaves through couplings of mixed-race and same-gender within the arc of the famous balcony scene (Act II, Scene II) from ‘Romeo and Juliet.’”

The short stars Troian Bellisario as Juliet, and in a wonderfully compelling twist, the film also stars Will Branske as Juliet, with Brandon Crowder and Tinuke Oyefule as the tragically romantic Romeos. The balcony scene is played out in interweaving scenes, with both same-sex and straight pairings. The result is a breathtaking ride through one of literature’s most well known scenes, which somehow feels new again.

Check out the trailer below:

Premiering on Wednesday, June 24th at the Frameline San Francisco LGBTQ International Film Festival as part of the “Bi Candy” shorts program, Still A Rose presents the Romeo and Juliet balcony scene through four different couples, adding gender and sexuality inclusivity to the classic play. In the film, directed by hazart, Pretty Little Liars star Troian Bellisario plays Juliet, but she’s not the only one — nor does she confess her to love one sole Romeo. Instead, Still A Rose shows four different couples as the star-crossed lovers, bringing new diversity to the story that while common in theater, is new to film, and hazart and Bellisario share what opportunities and challenges that re-telling presented.

Troian shared some very exciting news during the past few weeks. Troian began and finished filming a new independent film called Still a Rose, which will be a take on Shakespeare. The project was, as many of Troian’s others, a collaboration with directing duo Hazart (Kyle & Matt), which are very dear friends of hers.

Some others taking part in the project are Brandon Alperin, Brandon Crowder, William Branske, and NE Entertainment.

Although no other official information has been released about the project, we have many photos to keep you on your toes!

Immediately Afterlife is officially online for everyone to view!

Bennett and Marissa are the sole survivors of the final suicidal act of their religious cult. Confused, relieved, angry and unfulfilled the two followers question each other’s motives for joining, living & surviving under the control of their Leader. Faced with their own doubts, Bennett and Marissa must confront their feelings and fears while deciding what life to live after (near) death.

“Troian Bellisario and Shay Mitchell frequently escape death as teenagers targeted by a could-be murderer in Pretty Little Liars, but in short film Immediately Afterlife, they accept death… and then survive anyway.

In the film, Bellisario and Mitchell play two cult members who were supposed to partake in a group suicide but end up surviving. Bellisario’s Bennett is a religious fanatic who thinks she’s done something wrong, while Mitchell’s Marissa cracks jokes and has trouble understanding why Bennett isn’t happy to be alive.”
